I first came to see Mehtab last year to help me understand how to better cope with Stress. Being a perfectionist and highly self-critical, I really needed a different pair of eyes to help me see things in a different light.

Initially I started off with weekly sessions which I found really motivational. They really helped to keep me focused – I actually feel like I am now ‘in control’ of my own life again! The sessions empowered me with the tools to approach situations with a different mind-set, more importantly, helping me to manage my expectations and set realistic and achievable goals.

Through activities both during the session and the continued after-care and support, I feel that I am now the driver in my own life and have regained control, being able to prioritise and approach situations with focus and clarity.

I would highly recommend Mehtab (as I have already done to many of my friends and colleagues). Her sessions are fun but purposeful. She doesn’t sit in judgement but helps to steer you in a way that you feel the goals are attainable. Mehtab is extremely professional, caring and supportive yet knows just what buttons to push to get results. We can’t avoid stress but we can learn how to manage it more effectively and Mehtab has done just that – I can’t thank you enough.

If you’re reading this, unsure whether to proceed, my advice would be to just pick up the phone! Making the decision to begin therapy with Mehtab was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I’ve spent many years struggling with low moods, poor self-esteem and OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder), expecting these problems to just resolve themselves and thinking my problems were ‘not serious enough’ to talk about. I can honestly say, my only regret about beginning counselling is that I didn’t pick up the phone sooner!

Make no illusion, there are no quick fixes and at times the process is hard work, but the experience is life changing. Through being a containing and reflective presence, Mehtab has provided a facilitative space which has enabled me to heal and rediscover an integrated sense of self.

The sessions that I have with Mehtab are now an invaluable part of my life. Allowing a professional into your most inner self with all its fears is an immense act of trust. Whatever feelings I arrive with at a session, I always leave feeling more coherent and ‘at peace’ with myself. I am so grateful to Mehtab for being such a facilitative presence in my life and my ongoing journey towards greater self-awareness and emotional healing.

Counselling with Mehtab has been really great so far. She really is approachable and has a friendly manner. Mehtab takes the time to listen & rather than just ‘fixing’ an issue, she takes the approach where you work/talk together & continually checks in throughout the sessions booked on how things are going with that issue/problem. Throughout the session, Mehtab allows you to be able to reflect on the issue & think about what to do going forward by asking reflective questions. She also offers some great techniques which have become valuable for practicing in day to day life. I would highly recommend Mehtab and her practices to anyone. Starting counselling is always a daunting task. I myself have tried a few different counsellors, but I can honestly say that hand on heart this lady made it easy.
